Questultimo, sorto nel 1956 come notiziario d’informazione per i soci, nel 1985 è stato completamente rinnovato per tener conto di esigenze più ampie ed ha assunto la denominazione di "Il Nuovo Saggiatore".La rivista de Il Nuovo Saggiatore è distribuita in formato cartaceo gratuitamente ai soci in regola della Società Italiana di Fisica e dal 1999 è accessibile online gratuitamente.
